CANCERS LINKED TO CAMP LEJEUNE WATER CONTAMINATION

by Ronald V. Miller, Jr.

Our lawyers are handling Camp Lejeune cancer lawsuits in all 50 states.

From the early 1950s to the late 1980s, the drinking water supply at the Camp
Lejeune Marine Corps base in North Carolina was heavily contaminated with toxic,
carcinogenic chemicals. After the contamination and its extent became public,
the Department of Defense and other branches of the federal government performed
extensive testing and conducted numerous scientific studies to determine what
impact the contaminated water had on the long-term health of base residents and
employees.

These studies have determined that individuals who were exposed to the
contaminated water at Camp Lejeune may be at higher risk of developing certain
types of cancer. The cancer types that have been linked to the contaminated
water at Camp Lejeune include kidney cancer, prostate cancer, esophagus cancer,
and leukemia. In this post, our attorneys look at the studies and evidence
linking these cancers to Camp Lejeune and what you can expect if you bring a
Camp Lejeune cancer lawsuit.

CAMP LEJEUNE LUNG CANCER LAWSUITS

by Ronald V. Miller, Jr.

The drinking water supply at the Camp Lejeune USMC base in North Carolina was
contaminated with alarmingly high levels of carcinogenic chemicals from 1953
thru the late 1980s. This government response to this disaster has led to some
of the most extensive public health studies ever done to assess how the
contaminated water affected the health of the Camp Lejeune residents and
employees.

Both the public health studies and other scientific research has developed
definitive evidence that that exposure to the contaminated water at Lejeune led
to an increased risk of lung cancer. Congress is very close to enacting a new
federal law that will give Camp Lejeune victims the right to bring civil claims
and get compensation.

CAMP LEJEUNE MULTIPLE MYELOMA LAWSUIT

by Ronald V. Miller, Jr.

Our lawyers are handling Camp Lejeune cancer lawsuits in all 50 states.  This
page is about a particular type of cancer: multiple myeloma.  We look at how
multiple myeloma is linked to contaminated water and we speculate about
potential settlement amounts for these cancer lawsuits.

From the 1950s thru the late 1980s the water supply at the USMC base, Camp
Lejeune in North Carolina was contaminated with alarmingly high levels of
chemical solvents that have been linked to cancer. In the years since this was
discovered, numerous public health studies have been done to determine what this
contamination did to the health of the estimated 1 million people that were
exposed to the water at Camp Lejeune.

These studies have identified clear evidence that exposure to the contaminated
water at Lejeune caused an increased risk of multiple myeloma and other types of
blood cancers. A new federal law is about to be passed by Congress that will
give Camp Lejeune victims the right to bring civil lawsuits and get
compensation.

BLACK LICORICE LAWSUIT

by Ronald V. Miller, Jr.

Black licorice contains a compound from the licorice root that can cause
consumers to suffer serious health issues including abnormal heart rates, high
blood pressure, and congestive heart failure. Many manufacturers of black
licorice products have started using a synthetic version of this compound which
is safer. Hersey and other companies, however, have refused to switch to the
safer synthetic version.

Our national product liability lawyers are now investigating product liability
lawsuits against Hershey and other companies for failing to warn that their
black licorice candy products can cause health problems. If you suffered an
adverse reaction to black licorice resulting in serious health consequences,
contact our office today for a free consultation.
