Life can be challenging and can throw unexpected curveballs at us. If you're
experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, difficult life transitions, stress, or
relationship conflict, speaking to a therapist may be the first step towards
healing.

Psychotherapy or talk therapy may help resolve behaviors, beliefs, feelings,
relationship issues, and/or somatic responses (sensations in the body).

Therapy should be tailored to meet your individual needs and make weekly
progress towards your goals. Goals in therapy are established in collaboration
with your therapist and may include increasing self awareness, developing
healthy coping skills for stress management, or learning better communication
skills to strengthen your relationships. Sometimes, having someone to listen is
what’s helpful.

Dama Perez is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Professional Clinical
Counselor. She provides culturally affirming therapy services to adults,
couples, and families. Telehealth and in person options are available for
California residents. Services are offered in English and Spanish.

Hola, I’m Dama! I earned a B.A. in Sports Medicine from Pepperdine University.
After being in the workforce for some years, I returned to my alma matter to
pursue a M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family
Therapy with Latine Communities..

I am experienced in working with racially and culturally diverse clients. My
practice focuses on providing culturally affirming therapy to young adults,
adolescents, and interracial couples.

I recognize that each individual is unique in their journey and needs, therefore
I adapt my work according to the goals set at the beginning of treatment. My
office is a judgement free zone where clients feel safe, comfortable, and seen.
