   * We invite all the dads to join us for a special karate class. Whether
     you’re a seasoned practitioner or trying karate for the first time, this
     class is designed to be enjoyable and accessible for all skill levels.

WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT

 1. Our program is built upon principles of Karate-do, focusing on: character
    development, self-defense and physical fitness.

 2. We do not believe in charging additional fees for belts and testing. A
    promotion to the next rank is a reflection of the achievements of the
    student. We sell transformations, not belts.

 3. We are proponents of the concept of “pressure testing” at the appropriate
    intensity based on rank and skill-level to ensure the self-defense
    techniques we practice are effective against a resisting opponent.

 4. “Traditional” elements of Karate-do, including kata and weapons training are
    not required for rank progressions. They are however a great adjunct to our
    regular training, plus they are a lot of fun!
