 * UC Berkeley's Master of Bioprocess Engineering Program

Our 9-month curriculum of bioprocess fundamentals and applications is
designed to prepare graduates for meaningful careers as Bioprocess Scientists
and Engineers in biopharma, industrial biotech, and food tech. This includes
heavy emphasis on advanced concepts (QbD, DOE, etc.) and hands-on training
with common bioprocess equipment at lab- and pilot-scales.

Students thrive in a close-knit community; each cohort holds up to 50
students. We integrate classroom learning with hands-on training at the
Advanced Biofuels Processing Demonstration Unit, a Lawrence Berkeley National
   Laboratory operation.

 * Master in Translational Medicine (MTM) program through UC Berkeley and UCSF

If you are thinking of pursuing a graduate degree in Biomedical Engineering,
the below opportunity may be of interest to you.

The MTM program is a professional master's program that is offered jointly
across the bioengineering departments of UC Berkeley and UCSF. It is a place
where students gain the knowledge and skills necessary to bring medical
innovation from the engineer’s bench to the patient’s bedside. MTM graduates
have gone on to a wide range of careers within the medical field, from
engineering roles at small and large biotech firms, health care analysts at
consulting firms, to pursuing medical school.

BONUS: Our admissions team is coming to a location near you! We invite you to
join us for one of our virtual information sessions or graduate fairs this
fall! Come learn about a program that is in the heart of MedTech and BioTech,
where science and ideas translate into clinical solutions.

Please reach out to mtm@berkeley.edu with any questions.

 * UC Berkeley's Professional MS in Chemical Engineering, the Product
   Development Program

Within 9 months, PDP graduates will gain exposure to real-world product
development practices in a range of chemical process-intensive industries
such as alternative energy, biotechnology, consumer products,
microelectronics, nanoscience, and new ventures. As a professional degree
program aimed at preparing its graduates for their careers, the PDP does not
require a research thesis, but students find completing the extensive
coursework and team-based field-project study assignment with a local company
challenging. Graduates of the PDP almost exclusively choose to enter industry
   - to embark on a professional or managerial career related to bringing new
products and technologies into commercial reality.

Applications for PDP 25 (August 2024 to May 2025) are now open and will close
on January 12, 2024. Come and virtually meet the PDP's Executive Director,
Dr. Keith Alexander, and a current student or alumni to learn more about our
professional 9-month Master's program in Chemical Engineering.

The GRE is no longer required for admission
