THE DREAM TEAM

Salima was raised in Salé and received a master’s degree in Operations and
Hospitality Management in Tangier. At Experience Morocco, as the Director of
Operations, she ensures no detail is overlooked and every trip runs smooth. When
she isn’t at work or finding the best Thai food in town, she dedicates her time
to a local NGO that does education and medical outreach in rural Morocco.

SALIMA

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR

Nisrine grew up in Meknes and received a degree in Hotel Operations Management
in Tangier before moving to Rabat to work as a reservations manager at a luxury
hotel. Today, she is an operations manager ensuring smooth and memorable travels
for clients. Outside of work, she also enjoys planning events for a local
communications agency, spending time with friends, and seeing the latest films.

NISRINE

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Oussama grew up in the seaside paradise of Essaouira. He moved to Tangier to
pursue a degree in Tourism and has now settled into Casablanca to work at EM.
His passion for exploring destinations near and far makes him a great resource
for travel recommendations. When he is not out adventuring, Oussama is watching
Game of Thrones and listening to Gnawa music.

OUSSAMA

OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Nabil, a native of Casablanca, received a degree in information technology
management and then worked in a call center advising people on technological
problems. He has brought his technological expertise to the operations team at
Experience Morocco where he manages trip logistics. Beyond work, he can be found
listening to flamenco music, visiting family and friends, improving his English,
or catching the latest football match.

NABIL

OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Imane was born in Tetouan but spent most of her adult life between Spain and
France. After her studies, she moved to Spain to work with a major Real Estate
company. She returned to Morocco to work on the construction of the Hilton 5*
project in Tangier before coming to EM. In her free time, you'll find Imane
enjoying her favorite place--the beach!

IMANE

OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Nour El Houda studied management and entrepreneurship in her native city of
Casablanca. Prior to joining us at Experience Morocco, she worked as a
back-office manager, which is how she discovered her passion for finance and
numbers. Outside of work, she loves to put her cooking skills to the test by
trying new recipes for her family and friends.

NOUR EL HOUDA

FINANCE MANAGER

Faty grew up in Casablanca before obtaining her Bachelor's in Business
Administration from Al Akhawayn University. She has always loved the adventure
and is continuously finding new ways to feed her passion for travel, so working
at EM is a great fit. When she is not taking her cooking game to the next level,
she can be found improving her Spanish or reading a good book.

FATIMA EZZAHRA

FINANCE ASSOCIATE

Aziz was born in a small town called Amizmize in the foothills of the Atlas
Mountains. His family later moved to Marrakech and he began working as a driver
in 2005. Today, he is the head of our in-house transportation division,
Trustworth Tours, and passionate about providing guests the safest, most
comfortable ride around Morocco possible.

AZIZ

HEAD OF TRANSPORTATION

Emma grew up on the tiny island of Kaua'i, Hawai'i, which inspired her love of
travel and sustainability. She recently graduated from Trinity College with a
Bachelors in Political Science and International Studies after spending
semesters abroad in France, Nepal, Jordan, and Chile. In her free time, Emma
enjoys surfing, hiking, taking photos, and improving her French and Darija
skills.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING ASSOCIATE

Hicham grew up in bustling Casablanca before leaving Morocco to pursue his
bachelor’s degree from Princeton University. He then joined Google where he
spent four years in Product and Sales Marketing before moving to Boston to
complete his MBA at Harvard. His passion for drumming is equaled only by his
love of Moroccan mint tea.

CO-FOUNDER

Ghassan grew up in Rabat and has explored every corner of Morocco along with
over 60 countries. He received his master's from Mines Paris and then worked at
Morgan Stanley and McKinsey & Co. He went on to pursue his MBA at Harvard as a
Fulbright scholar. A consummate nerd and cinephile, Ghassan enjoys solving
puzzles and is a big fan of auteur films.

GHASSAN

CO-FOUNDER

An avid reader who loves to problem-solve, Imane enjoys taking on big challenges
and creating new products for our customers. Prior to joining Experience
Morocco, Imane graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in
Government. Outside of work, Imane loves Arabic poetry and she enjoys connecting
with other members of Morocco’s growing start-up scene.

IMANE

SALES DIRECTOR

For Marouane, hospitality runs in his blood since nearly all of his relatives
work in the tourism industry too. He holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s
degree in the field. At EM, he loves matching guests with their dream
itineraries. Marouane’s passion for adventure and risk-taking means that when
not in the office, you can find him with his Motorcycle club or competing in
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

MAROUANE

SALES MANAGER

Radia is a native of Casablanca who graduated with a bachelor's degree in
Business Management. At EM, she works on the sales team as a travel advisor
helping clients design their dream trips. When she is not busy at work, she
loves planning her own trips to explore the world, trying out new restaurants
and dancing salsa.

RADIA

SALES MANAGER

Hajar is a native of Casablanca. She has a master’s degree in Entrepreneurship
and Management. She is passionate about travel and discovering new cultures. Her
favorite part of working at EM is when she hears from satisfied clients about
how much they learned while traveling around her home country. Outside of work,
she loves getting competitive with friends over video games.

HAJAR

TRAVEL SPECIALIST

Nora was born in Russia, but she spent her childhood in Nicaragua and finally
settled in Morocco. She obtained a degree in Management and Tourism Strategy,
but her passion for travel comes from her own experiences living on three
different continents. She loves helping clients design their own travels and
create special Moroccan memories. Outside work, she loves to listen to Latin
music and watch her favorite Korean television shows.

NORA

TRAVEL SPECIALIST

It was not until Maryama moved to France that her love for travel came to light.
She adds this to her list of passions, including dance, music, literature, and
cuisine. Combining her love for adventure and her master’s degree in Finance and
Auditing, she applies her unique expertise in the luxury hospitality industry
here at Experience Morocco to pamper guests and go the extra mile to deliver
unforgettable trips.

Radia is a native of Casablanca who graduated with a bachelor's degree in
Business Management. At EM, she works on the sales team as a travel advisor
helping clients design their dream trips. When she is not busy at work, she
loves planning her own trips to explore the world, trying out new restaurants
and dancing salsa.

Hajar is a native of Casablanca. She has a master’s degree in Entrepreneurship
and Management. She is passionate about travel and discovering new cultures. Her
favorite part of working at EM is when she hears from satisfied clients about
how much they learned while traveling around her home country. Outside of work,
she loves getting competitive with friends over video games.

Nora was born in Russia, but she spent her childhood in Nicaragua and finally
settled in Morocco. She obtained a degree in Management and Tourism Strategy,
but her passion for travel comes from her own experiences living on three
different continents. She loves helping clients design their own travels and
create special Moroccan memories. Outside work, she loves to listen to Latin
music and watch her favorite Korean television shows.

TRAVEL SPECIALIST

It was not until Maryama moved to France that her love for travel came to light.
She adds this to her list of passions, including dance, music, literature, and
cuisine. Combining her love for adventure and her master’s degree in Finance and
Auditing, she applies her unique expertise in the luxury hospitality industry
here at Experience Morocco to pamper guests and go the extra mile to deliver
unforgettable trips.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Salima was raised in Salé and received a master’s degree in Operations and
Hospitality Management in Tangier. At Experience Morocco, as the Director of
Operations, she ensures no detail is overlooked and every trip runs smooth. When
she isn’t at work or finding the best Thai food in town, she dedicates her time
to a local NGO that does education and medical outreach in rural Morocco.

In the News: EM team goes remote

Like so many people and companies globally, our team is working from home for
the time being. Luckily for us, much of our work can be done online, but we have
needed to adjust our meeting style. To keep our team connected and engaged
despite the physical distance between us all, we are doing daily virtual team
meetings where we focus not just on work but on maintaining our close-knit team
spirit. We’ve implemented a buddy system where buddy pairs do daily check-ins to
provide support in these uncertain times by sharing recipes, workout tips,
chatting and discussing daily happenings. Pictured above is how our team came
together to wish two of our team members a happy birthday from a distance. Our
aim is to come out of this crisis stronger so that when we can get back to the
daily business of booking guests’ dream trips to Morocco, we’ll be even more
in-sync, motivated and excited than before.

Moroccan Word of the Month: Ijtimaa

The current global situation puts face-to-face interaction on hold for many of
us around the world. But even in these times of distance, we hope to shed light
on the ways we can stay connected and engaged with one another, making our
Moroccan word of the month, Ijtimaa, meaning a gathering of people. While for
the time being getting together and cross-cultural connection might not look
like hopping on a plane, we hope to do our part at EM to connect the world in

Featured Experience: Royal Hot Air Balloon Ride

Just outside of Marrakech, there is a spectacular and unique early morning
activity on offer. The Royal Hot Air Balloon Ride starts before sunrise as you
drive outside Marrakech to the launch site. You’ll be welcomed with some
Moroccan tea and then board your private hot air balloon.

Rising above the city, farmlands, and mountains at sunrise, you’ll see Morocco
from a whole new perspective. Making the experience even more unique is that
breakfast is served on board as you admire the 360-degree views from your table.
This might just be the most memorable breakfast ever.

Featured Event: Essaouira Gnaoua and World Music Festival

Gnawa refers to people as well as a style of music. In Morocco, you can
participate in the sacred traditions of Afro-Moroccan musical groups well-known
to the country at the annual Gnaoua and World Music Festival. The port city of
Essaouira plays host annually to this celebration centered around music
traditions, culture and art. This year, the festival stretched from Thursday,
June 20th, through Sunday, June 23rd and featured headliners like Susheela
Raman, Moh! Kouyaté, Tinariwen, and Baloji. The lineup does not discriminate,
however, for it features contemporary funk, jazz, soul and blues artists from
around and beyond the continent too. The festival involves the entire city as
performances take place on stages throughout Essaouira, from docks, to squares,
to city streets. At the festival, as well as year-round, guests can tour sites
rich in Gnawa culture, meet local kuyu (Gnawa dancers) and maalem (masters) of
the traditional melodies, and learn the craft and significance of the guembri
instrument through workshops. This photo features our team participating in a
lively gnawa workshop, which we can organize for you during your stay.

Featured Property: Luxury Desert Camps

Spending a night in the Sahara is on many people's bucket lists and one way to
make it even more memorable is to spend it at a luxury tented camp in the middle
of the dunes. We work some very special and unique camps in both the Erg Chebbi
and Erg Lihoudi dunes. A stay at either property starts with a camel ride
through the dunes to camp. Then spend your evening by a campfire, dining on
Berber delicacies and enjoying a performance by a Gnawa band. After stargazing
to your heart’s content, head into your private tent with a bathroom en-suite,
hot water, and a plush bed. Finally, enjoy a delicious breakfast and spectacular
sunrise at a table perched on the top of the dunes. It is "glamping" at it’s
very best and will make for a night you’ll never forget!
