Inclusion, as represented by the “I” in the “DEI” acronym, may come last, but it
is an essential part of the puzzle — and the value proposition for employees.
This is especially true in the wake of the pandemic and during the so-called
great resignation, when it’s more important than ever to treat employees as
people first.

In the third and final episode of a three-part series around diversity, equity,
and inclusion (DEI), guest host Rob O’Donohue, Senior Director Analyst in
Gartner's CIO Research Group, sits down with Christie Struckman, a VP Analyst on

MEET THE EXPERTS

Rob O'Donohue | Sr Director Analyst

Rob O'Donohue is a Senior Director, Analyst in Gartner's CIO Research Group
focusing on Leadership, Culture, People, and DEI. Here, he advises CIOs on
organizational change programs that target leadership development, creation of
high performing teams, culture change, and enhancing diversity, equity, and
inclusion within the organization. Rob creates evidence-based actionable
research to empower CIOs and Executive Leaders lead more effectively. Rob is
responsible for leading the research on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for
CIOs within the team with new papers being published monthly. Rob also runs
workshops and client briefings covering culture, leadership, talent, and
coaching effectiveness. Rob holds is a certified Executive Coaching with the ICF
and uses his experience to help CIOs think differently.

Christie Struckman | VP Analyst

Christie Struckman is a Vice President in Gartner's CIO research team. She helps
CIOs and other C-level executives with aligning the organizational building
blocks needed to succeed in the digital-era. Topics include: culture and
organizational change; leadership transitions and development; management
practices; diversity, equity and inclusion; and conflict management practices.
She is currently working on supporting clients re-imagining the role of managers
in the future of work, developing themselves as executive leaders, and
developing a methodology for assessing and remediating pay equity.
