CANADA INVOKES EMERGENCIES ACT TO SEIZE CONVOY FUNDING

Kit Knightly

KIT KNIGHTLY

Last night Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Finance Minister Chrystia
Freeland held a joint press conference where they announced their decision to
invoke the Emergencies Act in response to the Freedom Convoy protests.

But what is the Emergencies Act? And what new powers does is Trudeau government
claiming?

THE ACT

The Emergencies Act 1988 is exactly what it sounds like – a piece of legislation
designed to grant the government special powers in the event of an emergency.

By officially declaring the Freedom Convoy an emergency under part 2 of the act,
“Public Order Emergencies”, they claim the convoy comprises…

> an emergency that arises from threats to the security of Canada and that is so
> serious as to be a national emergency”

So, formally and legally, the government says these people represent threats to
the security of Canada”…

…OK.

The distinct lack of an real “emergency” is probably why the CBC had talking
heads reporting that the convoy wanted to “overthrow the government” and that
they are being directed by “Russian agents”.

These ideas were repeated in parliament last week, by the leader of the NDP
Jagmett Singh, who claimed the convoy wanted to overthrow the government and was
being funded by the US.

Three days ago the Guardian ran one article headlined “Freedom convoys:
legitimate Covid protest or vehicle for darker beliefs?”, suggesting the convoy
was a cover for white supremacy as well as “conspiratorial thinking” and the
usual.

Then yesterday, just hours before Trudeau invoked the act, it was reported that
“hackers” from “Anonymous” had identified 92,000 donors to the convoy, taken
down the GiveSendGo site, and published that most of the donations had come from
US accounts. Feeding the idea that the convoy isn’t an organic movement, but one
created by the US agitators.

The campaign was clear: Paint the convoy as “dangerous” and funded from abroad
so they have an excuse to invoke the Act.

THE POWERS

The Emergencies Act gives the government the power to take “special temporary
measures that may not be appropriate in normal times”, which is delightfully
vague, but what form are these “measures” taking?

Seeing as the act has literally never been used before, it’s hard to predict how
it will be used. For now, at least, it seems to be entirely financial.

Clearly the government think the easiest way to break the blockades and protests
is to go after their money.

That started with behind-the-scenes moves against crowd-funding platforms. There
was obvious covert pressure on GoFundMe to shut down the donor page, and then
the aforementioned “anonymous hackers” took down GiveSendGo site.

With the “emergency” declared, the campaign to control crowdfunding income
switches from covert to overt.

In the announcement, Freeland detailed how the government will attempt to
monitor and control crowd-funding sites and payment platforms moving forward:

From today, all crowd-funding platforms must register with the Financial
Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC), which requires
them to report any “large or suspicious” payments to the financial authorities.
This specifically includes cryptocurrency too.

But it’s not just about digital platforms or crowdfunding, the new measures
extend to banks as well.

Under these rules, Canadian banks are now empowered to freeze or suspend any
account without a court order, and are protected from any legal action taken
against them as a result.

To be clear: If a bank freezes your account because they believe you donated to
the convoy, and you lose business or miss a rent payment as a result, you cannot
sue them.

Further, Freeland suggests banks “review their relationships” with anyone found
to be taking part in the protests, or financially supporting them.

Meaning, closing down your accounts completely and refusing your business.

The above tweet does not exaggerate. This is some of the most extreme draconian
financial control imaginable.

It could also have serious knock-on effects for businesses – large and small –
as well as tax revenues. Not to mention landlords who suddenly are not getting
their monthly payments.

But none of that matters alongside the flagrant lack of ethics: Freezing
protestors’ bank accounts is in violation of the constitution, and simply
morally wrong.

Frozen funds could mean people can’t pay their rent or mortgage and end up
homeless. It could mean not being able to heat their homes during the coldest
month of the year. It could mean not being able to buy food for themselves or
their families.

The protesters have not committed any acts of violence, or even threatened any.
They have done nothing but exercise their right to peacefully assemble, as
detailed in the Canadian constitution.

To hold this financial threat over them is unforgivable.

And it won’t stop here.

Now the precedent has been set, in future other acts vaguely defined as
“domestic terrorism” could incur the same penalty. Refusing a vaccine, for
example.

The specific rules don’t even matter, they will likely change based on what the
establishment narrative demands, but the punishment will stay the same: Play
along, or we’ll take your money.

This amount of control is exactly why they have been pressing so hard for a
cashless society the last few years, and why that needs to be resisted at all
cost.

Sounds like Klaus is getting desperate. Time to use the stupidest of the Young
Reset Team to try out the financial chains.

Canadians, please hold the line. We in the U.S.are with you. This will not
stand.

Some time or another the stranglehold of the present financial system has got to
be broken or we’ve had it. If the criminals withold their debt money, that’s a
good enough reason to invent something else. It’s got to happen anyway, it’s the
only alternative to slavery, because it’s coming isn’t it? They’ve said enough
times that the population has got to be drastically cut and they mean it, they
really do. The only choice is between a rock and a hard place. Didn’t they say
there’s no going back to the old normal?

You have to ask yourself what it was that made some bright spark even think of
introducing an Emergencies Act in 1988… The Irish situation in Belfast,
perhaps…?

What did he know that the rest of us didn’t…?

At any rate, if Trudeau closes all other avenues, of course violence will ensue.
And it will be on his head. Perhaps literally.

So here we are, my dear fellow Germans. We now have to decide whether we want
Berlin in 1933 to happen all over again – only globally this time…

Tom Marazzo, an appealing, articulate mild mannered spokesman, who quit his
teaching job at a community college over the vaccine mandate is replaced by
Dagney Pawlak (below) who just months ago worked for federal Minister of Public
Safety Marco Mendicino, the man responsible for enforcing Canada’s draconian
Communist “Emergency Measures.”

On top of that, she worked for Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign, with
Joe Biden as vice president. Has she had a change of heart, or is she a
gun-for-hire? Or is she a plant?

Benjamin “BJ” Dichter, is also a front man for the Freedom Convoy. He ran as a
Conservative candidate in 2015, in the Stephen Harper era.
Dichter is the co-founder and chairman of LGBTory, a homosexual advocacy group
for supporters of the Conservative party.

A gay activist named BJ doesn’t sound good, and his  lgbt tory site  features
articles about attending a gay rights rally in Chechnya and hailing Trinidad and
Tobago’s decriminalization of homosexual acts.

Dichter is also a self confessed Jew and Zionist, having spoken at several
Zionist conferences and events. Prior to running as a Conservative candidate, he
made social media posts  implying that Palestinian casualties of Israeli
bombings were actors and voiced concerns about a supposed Islamization of the
world.

Hi Kit, thanks for covering the situation here in Canada. As hubby and I said
yesterday, what a surreal time to be here in Canada. In Ontario. Under two
tyrants Doug Ford and Trudeau who is IMO the shiny happy face for the real PM..
Chrystia (operative for globalists) Freeland. She will lead the party when
Trudeau is gone. I think that’s coming sooner rather then later.
re: the emergency measures? IMO it’s part of a psyop against the Canadian
people- Trudeau looking and talking authoritative. The tracking of funds will be
done- the gov wants to be in everybody’s bank account- more then they already
are. Nothing will really be done about he protests in Ottawa. Border blocks will
be removed (think there is one still going on)
I’ve got lots of info at my place, Including, interestingly, a number of
military members involved with or sympathetic to the cause. JTF2 members inc. I
was surprised by that!

imagine what they must be feeling surrounded by masked adults, whose intentions

Social Credit / Payment Freeze / Biometric ID system brought in, that can be
automated, global and unappealable.

So now we know WHY this psyop was created, funded, then demonized, faux hacked,
and publicized.

The actions of freezing bank accounts may soon be applied to the unvaccinated or
unboosted.

Because emergency laws are rarely repealed – in the US for instance, there are
many emergency laws still in place, that are re-authorized yearly, including The
Patriot Act and the Faux Pandemic – these unconstitutional emergency laws will
exist in Canada, in perpetuity.

Broader definitions of domestic terrorism can be added or expanded.

Eventually owning land, property or possessions that governments or their PPP
corporations desire, in the carbon credit-climate emergency-circular
economy-licensing future, makes any “citizen” or group, a potential “enemy of
the state“.

Trudeau doesnt appear to be very bright. He has the perfect opportunity to blame
all the deaths in hospital from the covid jabs on the truckies. “Air pollution
from all the trucks is causing more deaths.” Add the noise and the stress as
co-morbidity factors.
Bank employees, including managers, should think twice about being agents for
the government. They should think twice about the overt hostility that can
result from undermining anyones economic security.
As with the covid vax, the government relies on businesses to implement its
decisions.

And most EVERY citizens has abetted them…
Via engaging in & remaining most wholly reliant on the banking system.

EVERYONE NEEDS TO JUDGE THEMSELVES, FIRST!

Given that a mere 60 Big Asset Management firms & Big Banks now control OVER
$100 TRILLION in assets, controlling the largest “competing” corporations, in
most every single industry, across most continents, we are most all complicit in
the schema of massive corruption.

Perhaps a sign of things to come to the U.S. as well….

Summary of Terrorism Threat to the U.S. Homeland (Date Issued: February 07, 2022
02:00 pm ET)
“The United States remains in a heightened threat environment fueled by several
factors, including an online environment filled with false or misleading
narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis- dis- and
mal-information (MDM) introduced and/or amplified by foreign and domestic threat
actors.”

So many “Liberals” and “Democrats” have spent so much time in the last few
decades decrying the numerous draconian laws & measures passed by many
“Conservatives” and “Republicans”, over fears of immigration, drugs, terrorism &
such.

And yet are now being led towards defending the same type of draconian measures.

HOME OF THE “FREE”?
LAND OF THE “BRAVE”?

I believe we need to be careful here how the Prime Minster and his co-minsters
are portrayed. It would appear too much credit has been given to these
degenerates, including other fine actors like Mr.Singh and Mr.Ford.

If there ever was a time when these actors have been exposed for being puppets,
that time is now.

Mr.Ford is no doubt being lambasted by the auto corporations to open the bridge
up.

Mr.Singh , well, his turban is simply too tight because I know of no one that
would be wanting his support other than a few Liberal trade unionists for the
same cause as Mr.Ford.

The others, well they need to fulfill their terms of the Pandemic contract
agreement with the corporations sponsoring the event. They need to close the
deal or no money.

These actors are just doing what they are told by an ever desperate regime. To
simply give the Ministers credit is pure delusion.

What truly matters here is who is behind this organization ? Well that can be
answered fairly easily. What is most interesting here is how these puppeteers
have managed to cross the all mighty party line and elicit the same response
from all members of Parliament.

This exposes a very serious problem. The Canadian Political spectrum is
corrupted to all levels. Not just Liberals but Conservatives and even the New
Democrats.

There may be a few within these ranks that look different but be careful, they
will eventually all be led down the same path – the path paved with big easy
money.

The Canadian economy is done for. Real-estate is at the peak. Inventory is low
because there is no where to move to. No-one other that people leaving the
country is selling.

Resources are all foreign owned. Profits are taken out of the country.
Infrastructure reeks. Population growth is funded by new immigration policy
designed to manipulate voting in future elections.

The promised land is no more. Even if they fight to the bitter end, the ag they
will be left holding will have one big hole in it.

Time to move on.

So they should be boycotting everyone and everything associated with this

some are screaming it at them daily.

And if the controlled opposition are going to run things, we’ve already lost.

The truckers thing always had the potential to be used to justify demonising
activists, more than achieve anything substantial.

People need to stop following people whose agenda mirrors that of the dark
lords, and boycott NOT marches. Not as visual, exciting or the potential for
leaders to promote themselves, but it could ACTUALLY make a difference.

https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2022/02/15/emer-f15.html

The expression “far-right” or “far to the right” is used 14 times. And even from
its first use, it is never argued, merely stated.

The peculiar stance taken by the WSWS may be explained by their positing of
Trudeau’s government as a “minority Liberal government” attempting to fend off
the vast powers of the ruling class who are funding the “far right” convoy. So
this little “liberal” Trudeau lot are attempting to stand against the glowering
threat of this “far right” supported protest.

But this paragraph is the giveaway:

“The first target of these reactionary political forces was the dismantling of
all remaining COVID-19 public health measures. But they also want a government
that will more aggressively implement austerity against the working class at
home and pursue the predatory interests of Canadian imperialism on the world
stage.”

“They also want” greater implementation of austerity measures which have been
happening precisely under – and because of – the very covid “health measures”
that the WSWS want to keep going.

But there is an even greater absurdity and it’s the one the WSWS have been
pushing all along.

We are to believe that the ruling class have been opposed to the lockdowns from
the start. And this ruling class want to do away with these measures. So who
started the lockdowns, the masking, the distancing, the push for a vaccine? The
tsunami (and for once the word is justified) of covid terror mongering started
in spring 2020 through the media i.e. the very same media which the WSWS had
been so astute in skewering previously because previously they knew and
admitted that this media were controlled by the ruling class. How so? Because
the ruling class own it!

Now if this enormous drive towards “safety measures” was legitimate, and “The
Science” was justified – then how did all these compassionate scientists manage
to get  through that media? How do they manage to keep getting through it with
the increasingly desperate shoving of new variants: delta, omicron, and now a
crossover “deltacron” or some such? Is “The Science” some kind of hovering
heavenly presence capable of chopping through this venal media?

And just as the epithet “far right” is recklessly applied without explanation,
so we get the blasé assumption that the vast majority of regular folks hate the
convoy. Sources? Well, this “has been expressed on social media”?! Social media
has also brought us the uplifting tale of how “a handful of Ottawa residents
blocked a major intersection to prevent several hundred vehicles from joining
the main Convoy downtown” and so “25 unarmed residents had accomplished more in
a few hours against the far-right thugs than the police had managed in over two
weeks.”

The New Democratic Party come to the rescue – but this is just another cynical
move to push – yes, you guessed it! – to the “far right”!

And we get again and again the vision of covid running rampant in unsafe
workplaces. This based on that objective “scientific” assessment totally taken
for granted without wondering how it managed to get through this venal media and
indeed become the presumption of that venal media!

Naturally the WSWS don’t draw attention to the overwhelming irony of their final
paragraph:

“The invocation of the never-before-used Emergencies Act sets a dangerous
precedent. While today it is employed against the far-right enemies of the
working class, on the morrow, as the class struggle intensifies, it and
similarly authoritarian measures, will inevitably be turned against the working
class.”

It already has!

Emergency Powers Acts must be repealed. EUAs too for drugs. And any law that
shields governments and corporations from harm. The right for us to protest and

There are political classes that are fleeing the Covid cult as quickly and as
far as their little legs can carry them. The Danish option.
There are political classes that are attempting to distance themselves from the
cult while not admitting whatsoever to any panic, wrongdoing, political
liability, no, no, no. The Belgian option.
Then there are political classes that are determined to take this cult that they
love so much all the way to the end. The Waco option. This is Trudeau and
Ardern. They will see their entire countries aflame with insurrection rather
than admit to the need to fuckn listen.

And that’s, ha ha, the progressive viewpoint.

Yes, this is a lesson for us all about how governments will use the power a
digital currency & digital pass will give them. To see it used by a minority
government who two-thirds of Canadians did not vote for & to see that government

dawn of this Neo-Fascist paradigm that so many of our politicians have been
cooking up in Davos. George Soros can finance BLM & their ilk but citizens can’t

Interpretation: An Act designed to protect the assholes in government from being

Well that was depressing. My wife and I have a visitor – the one I had a
gargantuan blow out with over covid. This means a break from the Netflix fluff
and an actual clash with the news. Needless to say, both my wife and the friend
are totally under the spell of the media. And so when Putin comes on, they
growl, “Hitler”. (I loved the interviewer who said, “The impression of Russia
that the West now has is …” before giving exactly the impression of Russia that
the media mafia are anxious to create. Isn’t is fascinating how they describe
the effect they want to have?)

Next Djokovic gets wheeled out for a segment entirely concerned with his refusal
of vaccination. He sits in on an interview where he is asked such questions as,
“What do you say to all those Australians who think you consider yourself above
the law?” (?!) And when he was asked why he refused the vaccine, did he say,
“It’s because I don’t want to die” before launching into a roll call of all the
ones who did collapse and expire? Of course not! Or … perhaps he did mention it
but it would have no chance of getting to the screen.

One thing is glaringly obvious: Despite his repeated insistence that he has no
sympathy with the anti-vaxxers, he absolutely refuses to have the vax. He even
says he would rather give up the game than take it. Now that alone speaks the
volumes that the media don’t want you to cotton on to.

As if sensing this uneasy threat to The Science, on comes a nice avuncular
presenter who tells you in such a reasonable voice how wonderfully trustworthy
the vaccines are.

Did my wife and friend suspect anything? Of course not! “I wouldn’t let him in
the country!” said the wife.

One word: barter.
Another word that comes to mind is: microcredit
Or: charity

It gives me a whole range of ideas on how one can boycot banks.

Is that the endgame that Trudeau wants?
Or is the Canadian government getting desperate?

Maybe we need an oil war. Make fuel so expensive that trucks won’t drive. Seems
far sought, but look at Ukraine and you see that anything is possible if you ask
‘them’.

Or maybe we should just call the Covid swindle for what it is: a swindle, and
hold all of those who are responsible (including the opportunists) accountable.

But is it the government of Canada on any meaningful sense? The so-called leader
of Canada is a Quisling, a prop, a puppet installed by others, elsewhere, who
have no more allegiance or concern for “Canada” than an alligator in the
Okeefenokee has for the prey it’s about to consume.

“Late last year, Justin Trudeau told the New York Times that Canada is becoming
a new kind of country, not defined by our history or European national origins,
but by a “pan-cultural heritage”.
“There is no core identity, no mainstream in Canada,” Trudeau said, concluding
that he sees Canada as “the first post-national state.”

https://torontosun.com/2016/09/14/trudeau-says-canada-has-no-core-identity

There’s a word for people like Trudeau:

traitor

trā′tər
noun

 1. One who betrays one’s country, a cause, or a trust, especially one who
    commits treason.
 2. One who violates his allegiance and betrays his country; one who is guilty

Perhaps even more ominously, this business of allowing banks to seize customers’
funds with impunity might very well be the opening salvo in getting the public
used to the idea that banks have first claim on their money.

What it establishes is that customers’ use of their funds must be approved by
their bank.

Don’t know about Canada, but here in the US it’s already statutory that banks
may seize their customers’ funds if it becomes necessary to do so. Ellen Brown
(web of debt) was first to point that out.

The moment customers’ money ceased being liabilities to become assets on banks’
ledger sheets, it was The Beginning of the End.

Was that Basel 2 or 3 ? The moment you deposit funds it becomes the banks to use
as it sees fit. Should it blow the lot, your bad luck. You cant sue them to
return what’s (legally considered) theirs ?

This amount of control is exactly why they have been ”pressing so hard for a
cashless society.” Which is precisely why they hate gold and bitcoin. Get out of
fiat paper while you still have the chance.

Has anyone noticed that there is always an attribute of Klaus’s students that is
Big? Ahern – Big Teeth; Trudeau – Big Hair; Boris Johnson – Big (long) Nose;
Scott Morrison – Big Liar; etc.

If Trudeau loses as a result of all this he will also be remembered as having
made the biggest dent in the standing of Canadian politicians’ integrity.

Also, their names seem just right for their appearance. Trudeau looks like a
Justin. Ardern looks like a Jacinta; Johnson looks like a Boris (or a Sam, but
never a Justin or a Scott).

I haven’t seen a picture of Morrison; but I bet he really does look like a
Scott. But Joe Biden positively defies description.

I stopped myself from adding ‘on his face’ to ‘a smirk’ – because where else
would he wear it ?

A friend once laughed his head off at my saying “his face rings a bell.”

Oh, watch Bitcoin too, I think it’s a ponzi scheme. Dark lords are supporting
it, and apparently it takes some time to convert Bitcoin into cash.

Catherine Austin Fitts cautioned to use cash. Remember, by 2030, you will own
nothing and be happy. Scams abound to fleece the well heeled. Money is power.

I expect the breakdown of ‘please don’t hurt me I’ll do anything you want!!!!!’
vs ‘fuck you’ will be about 80-20. kiss your ass goodbye as some old song
said.but it was a very very noble endeavor, the truckers will always be
remembered as one of the high points in ‘alt Cdn history’ – ‘alt history of the
world’ for that matter. if any of it survives BBs book burning at any rate, or
FB etc cancelling

If this was Vladimir Putin introducing these measures, do we think other

Great article Kit.

So, my issue is still, why won’t these “leaders” promote boycotts? At all.

It’s as if they don’t want to bite the hand that feeds them or something. As for
these “Freedom Convoys”, I have had my suspicions that some of those involved
may be funded by the dark lords, it would be strange if there wasn’t. Standard
practice.
What is a concern is when they achieve positions of influence and dictate the
direction of the movement as some are attempting to do with the protest in
Canada, which now seems to be delivering the required catalyst for the dark
lord’s agenda to goosest. ep onwards.

Amazing Polly has commented on this as well as Rosemary Frei.

Here is Frei’s interview with Ukranian media outlet DNK video She discusses the
situation in Canada and how some aspects mirror Ukraine’s ‘color revolution’.

Rosemary Frei: Thoughts on the Freedom Convoy | DNK Video

Boycotts are tried and true. Yet, despite the financial coercion applied by the
minions of the dark lords, these “Freedom fighters” refuse to support boycotts,
even though they have been very successful for BDS.

Maybe not so strange when you consider some of the key players are clearly
political operatives, both in Canada and in Australia, probably elsewhere too.

Article on Australia’s freedom movement by The Age. Monica Smit from RDA
actually highlighted this in an article she wrote in December.

Check out the rogue’s gallery in the article. Makes for some interesting
reading.

Has Rosemary Frei nothing better to do than sow suspicion ?
And Janey B, it’s standard practice for the media to elect spokespeople, promote
their individual opinions as representative of all participants.
Danny ‘the Red’ Cohn-Bendit was marginal to the 1968 French student revolt. The
media elected him as spokesman. He went on to greater things, like an MEP
politician ie part of the problem.
It’s ok to paranoid and suspicious, but try to keep them under control.

The communitarians took over and will make our world hell. Read this article

communitarian dystopias.

You’d have to be living in a cave not to note that the “left” have become
ideological platform for the pseudo-pandemic, Great Reset, bio-security state
totalitarianism.
We can debate whether they are useful idiots or witting accomplices, (or
somewhere in between) to the “fucking capitalists” (who I agree are the real
driving force).

From the article:
“Communitarians oppose the abuse of power and it is unfair to describe them as
fascists. Nonetheless, it is entirely reasonable to point out the parallels.
Both political ideologies accept authoritarian diktat. That is what enforcement
of the “common good” is.

However, this is not the most worrying aspect of the communitarianism. It is
communitarians’ naive grasp of the global realpolitik, which renders
communitarian civil society the perfect policy vehicle for the G3P
[Public-Private-Partnership]. This is what should concern us most. Unlike
communitarians, the G3P definitely wants to enforce dictatorial control.”
