Protein power balls recepie
bjjdad
recipe

Hello, everyone!

I have a great recipe for protein power balls for you!

There are a lot of those out there, but I wanted something relatively easy,
without the almond flour which has tons of calories and fats. So let’s start:

Ingredients:

 1. Protein powder
 2. Peanut butter powder
 3. Dark chocolate – 30 grams
 4. Crunchy stuff - Pretzels, cookies, whatever you love basically (optional)
 5. Vanilla extract (optional)
 6. Cocoa powder (optional)
 7. Peanut butter or Tahini paste (optional)
 8. Oil or non-fat high protein yogurt

First, you have to decide if you want Vanilla or Chocolate balls. Then for each
scoop of protein powder, add 1 spoon of peanut butter powder. If it is chocolate
flavor, you can add a spoon of cocoa powder for extra taste. You can toss in a
bit of crunchy stuff.

Now add about two tablespoons of yogurt or 4 tablespoons of oil (Yogurt is much
better). You can add a tablespoon of peanut butter or tahini paste as well. If
it is vanilla flavor, it is the time to add the optional vanilla extract.

Mix it all until you get a dough out of it, if it is too dry, add a bit more
yogurt or oil.

Once ready, create small balls and let them set in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Melt the Chocolate, even in the microwave, short bursts, 20-30 sec and stir. Two
times should be enough.

Toss each ball in, put it on a baking sheet, cover with some crunchy stuff and
back to the fridge.

That’s it, enjoy!

Until next time!

Pop quiz hot shot! What do you do?
bjjdad
Krav Maga

Hello, everyone!

Remember Speed? Great movie.

Let’s say that someone starts a fight with you by pushing and maybe even choking
you, pinning you against a wall… Wait, he’s not alone; there are two of them,
maybe three. One holds a baseball bat.

What do you do? Run away? That’s a fair option, and I might choose that one
myself. But what if you have your family or girlfriend with you? What do you do
then?

Remember, you’re already getting choked. The other guy closes the distance
quickly. What’s your first reaction? Who do you engage first, and how? What do
you target—the face, the groin, the knee? What do you do?

I hope no one will ever have to deal with such a scenario, but it’s better to
know how.

That’s just one scenario we practiced in our last session, under pressure with
multiple attackers.

Want to know more? Follow me, and of course, come train with us at Kami (Krav
Magen) Canada.

Until next time!

BJJ
Krav Maga

Hello, everyone!

Next week is going to be epic. There are two events that are going to happen and
I’m super excited.

First, the semi-annual grading at King Jiu-Jitsu. This time, Professor Hugo
Février will be present and share his knowledge the entire week. Lots of team
members are going to get promoted—this is awesome.

To top that, the Krav Maga Grandmaster Avi Abeceedon is also coming and will run
seminars and an instructor course for a few lucky team members.

As I said, this is going to be EPIC!

I'm BJJ DAD

BJJ

Hello, everyone! I’m BJJ Dad. My adventure in the world of martial arts is
twofold—practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and Krav Maga, two disciplines that
challenge and complement each other perfectly.

My journey in BJJ began at King Jiu-Jitsu, where I had the pleasure of training
under incredible Professor Gregg and the rest of the skilled instructors.
Achieving a blue belt was not just about learning techniques; it was about
transforming my mindset. BJJ has taught me resilience, strategy, and the
importance of mental toughness. Every session is a new challenge, and there’s
always something more to learn or a move to perfect.

Alongside BJJ, I train in Krav Maga at KAMI Canada. Krav Maga’s practical
approach to self-defense complements the groundwork of BJJ with its focus on
real-world scenarios. It’s empowering to learn techniques that can be applied in
various threatening situations, enhancing not only my physical capabilities but
also my confidence in daily life.

Training in both BJJ and Krav Maga has been a holistic experience. While BJJ is
like a physical game of chess, constantly pushing my limits, Krav Maga gears
towards effective responses. The combination keeps me balanced, fit, and ready.
More than just a hobby, it’s a lifestyle that focus on continuous personal
growth and a strong sense of community among fellow team members.

I am proud to be BJJ Dad, sharing my story and hopefully inspiring others to
explore the rewarding path of martial arts. Whether it’s the strategic depth of
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or the straightforward efficacy of Krav Maga, there’s a
world of discovery and empowerment waiting for you on the mats. Join me, and
let’s embark on this journey together!
