We would really like to get married on a friday because it is so much cheaper. 
Does anyone know of a Catholic church near downtown that will do a wedding on a
friday evening?

   I don't know if they will do a Friday wedding, but there is an amazing
   Catholic church by our venue downtown....I will find out the address/name for

   It's at 34th & Broadway in the Hyde Park area, not far from The
   Plaza/downtown.  Sorry I don't know the actual name!

   One of my friends from high school got married there and it was gorgeous! The
   top of the church is completely gold, so it's easy to find

   You should be able to find a church that does Friday evenings, because they
   mostly all do in KC area. The KC Archdiocese doesn't do Saturday evenings,
   though other areas in US can if they choose to. However, Friday evening was
   absolutely perfect with all of the churches we looked at. Just find one you
   like, and call the office! We're getting married at Holy Spirit on 103rd, and
   they didn't seem surprised at all about a Friday! Good luck!
