Using HMRC’s online services are usually much quicker, easier and cheaper than calling us. Find out how to get help from HMRC if you need extra support. ASK FOR HELP ONLINE Use HMRC’s digital assistant if you need to ask further questions about Self Assessment or have a specific query. You can also ask to chat with an adviser, if one is available. You can also ask questions using: * HMRC’s Self Assessment community forum — post any questions you have, get an answer and read similar posts that already have a reply * HMRC Customer Support on X (Twitter) — for general questions about Self Assessment (do not include your personal or financial information in your post) USE HMRC ONLINE SERVICES Use your HMRC online account to sign in to your Personal Tax Account to check your records and manage your details. You’ll need your Government Gateway user ID and password to sign in. If you do not have a user ID, you’ll be able to create one when you sign in for the first time.
