ROAD NETWORK DATA MODELING GUIDELINES

Review and Feedback Tool

Applications for Enterprise GIS in transportation (AEGIST) is a national
transportation pooled fund program that was created by the Federal Highway
Administration (FHWA) and the State Departments of Transportation (DOTs) in the
US in 2018. It was envisioned that this program will establish guidelines for
geospatial road network data modeling in geospatial information systems (GIS)
that are used to support highway transportation agency business processes
associated with federal reporting, infrastructure asset operations and
maintenance, traffic and safety operations, asset management, project planning
and programming, and digital project delivery.

This tool facilitates review and comment on guidelines across three dimensions
for three Use Cases:

 1. Planning Level Road Model
 2. Intelligent Routable Road Model
 3. Digital Twin Road Model
