life? We can finally see what these iconic characters would look like if they
became human, thanks to artificial intelligence.



Ready to see your favorite animated characters in flesh and blood, even just
through a digital content creator’s imagination? Here are some of artist
Hidreley Diao’s most striking AI works that will make us believe that the
characters are based on real people and not the other way around:




MOE FROM THE SIMPSONS

Die-hard fans of “The Simpsons” are familiar with Moe, the bartender, and owner
of Moe’s Tavern, which Homer and his friends frequent. Although sometimes
sarcastic, this character feels like the grumpy yet caring server at our
favorite bars.






Plus, we can hear Hank Azaria’s misanthropic comments when he serves drinks, but
we can’t deny his exceptional mixology skills. This AI rendition may be on
point, but it does remind us of Rich Hall, so come to think of it, he could play
the part for a live-action film!





ERIC FROM THE LITTLE MERMAID

With her striking eyes and luscious locks, we wish to be Ariel with a prince as
handsome as Eric! We’re talking about the characters from the iconic Disney
animated movie “The Little Mermaid,” a 1997 movie that gave us hits like “Part
of That World” and “Under The Sea.”






This artwork, or Eric with the charming smile, is giving us a younger version of
Justin Trudeau or McDreamy from “Grey’s Anatomy,” and we certainly think that
they could play the role for a live-action remake.





CARL FREDRICKSEN FROM UP

In the Pixar movie “Up,” Mr. Fredericksen first makes an impression that he is
grumpy. But once he met Russell, his life changed and improved, and this is the
look we would imagine him to express.






This gives us a warm feeling, the kind that a kind older person emits when you
meet them at the grocery store. Some internet commenters feel that the AI
version of Mr. Fredricksen resembles actor Ed Asner, who may be the best person
to play the part in a live-action.





MOANA FROM MOANA

Come to think of it, Moana doesn’t have a prince in the movie—and honestly, we
don’t see the need for one! After all, she is all about finding herself and her
purpose, even going against all odds to pursue her passion.






At first glance, we thought this was actress Auliʻi Cravalho, who was
coincidentally the voice behind Moana. Directors Ron Clements and John Musker
told BuzzFeed this was a coincidence because they had already drawn the
character before the casting.
