Latto, and her non-profit Win Some Give Some Foundation hosted the 2nd annual
‘Christmas in Clayco’ sponsored by Rockstar Energy Drink and Wingstop. Clayton
residents were treated to a toy drive, Christmas dinner, and essential needs for
local families with young children. Additionally, Clayton County recognized
Latto for her continued philanthropic efforts within the community by officially
proclaiming December 18th “Latto Day” and honored her with a key to the county.
Clayton County District 1 Commissioner Dr. Alieka Anderson, Chief Operations
Officer Detrick Stanford, Police Department, Sheriff’s Office, and Stacey Abrams

Clayton County to Temporarily Close
Emergency Rental Assistance Program Application Portal

(Clayton County, GA) - The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP)
application portal is temporarily closed due to the high volume of applications.
All ERAP events are canceled for December 17, 2022, at all three locations
(Clayton County Police Station, Flint River Community Center, and Carl
Rhodenizer Recreation Center). Staff representatives from Clayton County
Community Services Authority, Project Real Life, and Melanated Pearl Corporation
will assist the Clayton County Office of Performance Management in processing
more than 10,000 applications for rental, utility, or housing stability
assistance. Application processing is underway for all residents that applied
prior to December 15, 2022, to determine their final status.

The Clayton County Board of Commissioners received a $6.5 million reallocation
of ERA federal funds to aid residents that were negatively affected by the
Coronavirus (COVID-19).

“A large number of residents participated in our three-day emergency rental
assistance event for eviction, homeless, or utility assistance,” said Clayton
County Operations Officer Detrick Stanford. “The Clayton County Board of
Commissioners is committed to helping these families remain sheltered.”

Residents are encouraged to monitor relief.claytoncountyga.gov, Clayton County
social media, news announcements, and local media to learn when the ERAP portal
will reopen.

“Our non-profit partners are working with us to ensure applications are
processed quickly,” added Chief Stanford. “We will continue to monitor the
program to determine when future applications can be accepted.”
