To do this, you can answer the first message received by WebMail with an email, in which you can attach your OpenPGP key or sign with your S/MIME certificate. If you already registered on WebMail, you can adjust the settings accordingly: on the 'Account Overview' tab under 'Certificates' you can import your S/MIME certificate or PGP key. After successful import, all encrypted messages are sent directly to your inbox. Are mobile devices (CoD, UoD) supported? ⌃ Mobile devices are currently partially supported. This means that encrypted e-mails can be received and read. Sending encrypted e-mails using mobile devices continues to only work to internal Daimler e-mail addresses, but not to external communication partners. Is Outlook Web Access (OWA) supported? ⌃ Outlook Web Access is not currently supported and cannot be used to send encrypted e-mails. What is an S/MIME certificate? ⌃ S/MIME is a standard for email encryption and signing. It's an alternative to WebMail if you want to use your own email client, for example. How do I sign a message with an S/MIME certificate? ⌃ The method depends on the respective email client. However, the majority of email clients support this feature. To learn more about the encryption method of your personal email client, please contact your company's IT support. If your e-mail client does not have this functionality, we recommend that you purchase the S/MIME service from a trusted organization such as Verisign, Entrust, S-Trust, Actalis, Quovadis, or Secorio. How can I ensure that the S/MIME signature and the S/MIME certificates of my Daimler contact person are trustworthy? ⌃ If you choose S/MIME as the encryption method and use an up-to-date mail client (e.g. Outlook), no further steps are necessary. For S/MIME we use official certificates from 'DigiCert QuoVadis Trustlink Schweiz AG'. The corresponding root certificates are preinstalled in the typical mail programs by default. If you are using an unsupported or older mail program, you can still download the certificates from the official website of the certification authority here. What is an OpenPGP key? ⌃ OpenPGP is a standardized data format for encrypted and digitally signed data. With an OpenPGP key, emails can be easily encrypted and decrypted, and their integrity and origin can be secured and verified using digital signatures. This is an alternative to WebMail if you want to use your own email client, for example. How can I generate an OpenPGP key for my email client? ⌃ The method depends on the respective email client. For example, if you want to generate a key for Outlook, you can use the GpgOL plug-in. Further details can be found on this website. If you would like to learn more about the encryption method of your personal email client, please contact your company's IT support. You can download our PGP Root-Key here. What are the requirements for my S/MIME or PGP public key? ⌃ Your public keys need to be 2048 bit in minimum key size with RSA based asymmetric keys. Also, we do not accept public keys with an unlimited validity period. Finally, both PGP keys are untrusted by default, so they must be validated manually by our IT department. Please consider this may take some time to be executed and operational. How can I ensure that the PGP signature and the PGP key of my Daimler contact person are trustworthy? ⌃ If you choose PGP as the encryption method, there is an easy way to ensure that your communication partner is trustworthy. All PGP keys we use are signed by the root PGP key of our mail gateway. If you download the root key from our website and mark it as trustworthy in your e-mail client, you automatically trust all PGP keys that we use for encrypted e-mail communication. It is important that you only download the key from our website via a secure connection (https), otherwise a secure trust chain can't be guaranteed. You can get the Daimler Root PGP Key here. How can I unregister from WebMail and delete all my data? ⌃ To do this, please send an informal e-mail with the subject 'Unsubscribe from email encryption' stating your name to support@securemail.daimler.com. Please note that you may only make this request for yourself or as a supervisor for your subordinate employees. IF THE ANSWERS LISTED COULD NOT SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM, PLEASE CONTACT THE SUPPORT FOR FURTHER ASSISTANCE. INFOSYS, BY ORDER OF MERCEDES-BENZ GROUP AG AND DAIMLER TRUCK AG.
